I woke up today to realize that a decision has been made. George Bush won, I'm leaving the country. $1,847.70 for a one way ticket to Santiago, Chile. $325.93 for a one way ticket to Mexico City, Mexico. I'm not sure where I'll go, but I can't stand being here, helpless, powerless, voiceless, alone. I wrote a poem this morning. Couldn't get myself to go to school. Here it is. I'd appreciate it if no one really commented on this entry. That's why I stopped using livejournal in the first place. Only positivity. I don't want right wingers to laugh in my face either. I'm pretty hurt by this, you won't make it any better. Thanks.

Friday was good but Saturday was excellent.
On Friday I went to the Football game with Jessie, Mo-Mo, Dani, and Carlos. It was just a regular football game, everyone kind of having fun, but mainly just wanting to talk to each other. Football is the last thing people come to see at Football games. So Carlos and I got something to eat and he said hi to everyone that he doesn't get to see because he goes to Cleveland. When we came back to the gang, Mo Mo was talking to Marcy Lentini...PUKE. I guess it really sucks having to compete to be friends with someone. He's nice to me, we walk to school together, talk in class, do homework together...but he's so popular at school that it's sick. We'll be walking to classes and a cloud of girls will be following him whispering about whether or not they should talk to him. It's some kind of fan club or something. So anyway, we try to warn him of which girls he should stay away from, but I guess Marcy's plastic looks got the best of him and he went to sit with her for the rest of the game. I'm not sure if it was just her not liking Marcy or if it's the fact that she might have a thing for him, but Jess didn't look too happy about the situation. Anyway, Carlos and I left. It was getting boring, and it was raining, and there were better things to be doing than moping. So we went to Emily's and the three of us decided to go to Addison's house. Rowan was over, so the five of us hung out and messed around. It was really fun, even though we didn't do a lot.
Saturday...I made Carlos breakfast, then we worked like productive teenagers on our homework. He did two writing pieces and Chemistry, I did YIF stuff, read a story, half of an essay. It felt so good to get homework done and still be able to be with him. So we stopped at 5:00 and went to his house. We took a shower and he helped me put on this tanning lotion(don't worry guys I'm not orange!). We ate dinner with his mom and then his friend Hailas came over. The two of them are not allowed to see each other because Carlos is too old for the sophomore and his mom thinks he'll be a bad influence. But Hailas' parents were at a movie, so he was fair game. The three of us went to QFC and rented some movies, then got candy, then we headed back home. Hailas had to head back, but Carlos and I watched part of the first season of Dave Chapelle's show before I fell asleep. I wish I could have stayed the whole night, but I know that won't be happening.
So today I am working again on the essay due friday...it's one of those stupid Student to Teacher letters discussing who you are as a person and other school issues. Pretty lame. I hate that we have to do one nearly every year. Anyway, it's not actually too painful, so I want to get it done so that later this week I won't be stuck with it. I'm feeling much better about school this weekend. Who knows, maybe I'll start to like it.Current Mood: peaceful Current Music: Rickie Lee Jones-We Belong Together

Really the only good thing I have to say about school is that I only have four classes, I love being an ayudante for Señora Santana, and my brother goes to my school now. Other than that, major headache. I mean, the classes are so blah. I guess I just don't have much motivation or interest in school this year. It's senioritis working at its best.
I don't get to see Carlos as much as I want to...he has Water Polo and Soccer every day, and I'm worried that he won't be able to finish his homework. Today, since it's friday, I get to see him for a bit. It'll be the first time that we really get to spend together since monday. I've seen him since then, but half and hour isn't enough. It's too rushed, too much focusing on time, too sad. I miss spending my time with him.
Today was picture retakes at school and since I had my wisdom teeth pulled the day of registration I had them taken today. I feel so un-hot and yet I still had to get bright lights on my face and a lady telling me to look at the blue dot, tilt my head, basically make me feel like a muñeca. Lame-o.
Tonight I'm going to the football game with Jessie and Max man. It's the first game of the year...and I'm actually kind of excited. Oh well, see you guys there if you decide to come.

Y Carlos, te amo como la luna ama las estrellas y como las estrellas aman la luna. Es un ciclo muy bello! Carlos....that reminds me.
For prom I was thinking you and I should go as the perfect pair. You can dress as the moon, and I your beautiful star. We can make our own star and moon costumes. It'll be utterly, gorgeously...disgustingly, us.

| » Have you seen Austin? |
Tuesday night I hung out with Jessie, Emily, and Emmi(exchange student from Finland!). We went shopping downtown after my YIF power analysis meeting from 2-4 and working with Tracy on a Powerpoint all morning. It was fun to let loose finally. I had gone shopping with Carlos and Addison on monday but shopping with boys just isn't the same. I bought these glasses that Carlos says "makes him feel like I'm too good for him". Sounds like a compliment to me. And this super hot black skirt. And a sexy sweater. That's right. Cait's ready to show all those Franklin kids how it's done...*Runway music*.... Anyway, back to Tuesday night. While shopping we grabbed something to eat and a group of guys began yelling to their friend Austin. They were really loud, so we started mocking them...yelling at Austin too. After that we made it this big joke to ask people we saw if they had seen Austin. We got done with shopping at 8, then went to Jessie's house to make nachos and watch a movie. It was good fun, laid back, but I realized once again how much I love girl nights.
Wednesday Emily and I drove up to Lyle, Washington to stay at the High Praire. It was beautiful! The whole way there we listened to songs from "back in the day", talked, and asked people if they had seen Austin. When we got up into the fields all I could think about was being young. Emily, Jessie, and I used to go up to her property all the time...swimming and running through the fields and playing with the dogs. This time it was a little different...but brought the same feeling. Darla and Pumpkin came with us, and when the leashes came off it was like heaven for them. They ran on and on through the 62 acres of tall grass. Emily and I meanwhile were cleaning up the trailer which had two windows missing, a few yellow jackets, and birds nesting in the bedroom. We spent the rest of the day munching on food, talking, playing with our dogs, taking pictures, and running around like we were still in 4th grade. Ahh...reminiscing.
We came home thursday from the High Praire and I hung out with good ole Carlitos for a bit. I got to hang out with Rachel and Serena for the first time...kinda fun, but I wish they woulda stayed longer. Later that night Brent, Kristi, Addison, Kassidy, Carlos, and I all hung out at Mt. Hood Pizza. That place is the best for having little get togethers!
And now today...I went to Carlos' house in the morning. We did chores most of the day, then we went to get him a haircut. While his hair was being cut'd, his mom and I went shopping. I found out that her favorite color is the same as mine, and she bought me a turquoise shirt to top it off! His mom is such a cutie. I see a lot of myself in her. We can be very similar. I spent the evening with Kassidy and my family at the Beavers Game at PGE park...lasted too long so we picked up Kristi, Brent, and Carlos at Water Polo next to the stadium. We rode the max home and had voodoo donuts and my homemade popcorn(thank you Carlos for melting the butter!!!!). Life has been pretty good to me lately. I'm thankful for all of my friends who I have been lucky enough to see a lot of lately. I love you guys!

Carlos ditched me again today...but I'm sure he really WANTED to see me he just messed up. Yeah, I'm sure that's it.
Sat around today waiting for Carlos to get home so we could hang out like he said. That never happened of course.
Painted a little, went to Music Millenium and bought Manu Chao and Jarabe de Palo with some of my garage sale money. I went with Jessie and Emmi(from Finland). It was fun to finally get to meet her. I wish I coulda hung out with her longer, but I had to get home for when Carlos arrived. Good thing I hurried back.
Blah.

I made 170 bucks at my garage sale today. I could go get a ferret. Or a prom dress. Or I could put it in the bank. Wow. THat's about all the news I have... Besides the fact that I wanted to hang out with Carlos today and I can't find him. I told him I'd get home at three...it's 9:30...thanks Carlos.
Pretty lame ass day. Pissed. Sad. Alone. Lovely fucking world.

I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and boy was that a blast. I started getting nervous when they put all the hookups on me but once they gave me the laughing gas I was good to go...all I could think of after that was "whatever, man....whatever, man...". Hahahaha. Good stuff. I woke up crying because when you get off of the anesthesia all this emotion comes out. Some people rock out, some people can't stop smiling, and then some people like me...sit and cry. Came home and am suffering of the non-talking disease. I only get to eat liquids which really doesn't suit my fancy. Man oh man I could go for a slice of pizza right now.*just got a flashback to Carlos...."Dame Pizza, Dame pizza!!!!" Hahaha. Addi, you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I hope all is going well with you folks. Won't get to talk much for a while...especially on the phone. But don't hesitate to call and ask my mom to come over. Movies are the happening thing these days I hear!

I am so sick of the Youth Innovation Fund that I could really just run away and not tell them where I am or if I even care about creating "positive permanent change". I don't feel like being on this board anymore...mainly because I have to do this power point presentation over the summer and then present it to companies. I just don't have any motivation, and since I'm really not enjoying the board anymore it's hard for me to persuade some big name to give us money because we're "so great".
Yesterday I got a manicure and a pedicure with Jessie since she has to take off for San Diego for a photo shoot for modeling today. It was very nice, massages and pampering...but it cost ten dollars more than they originally said and even the original was pushing it for me. Then I looked at my nails and my toenails only to realize that I look way too pretty with them. I kinda like my bare toes and fingers. Now I look like Princess Cares-Too-Much-About-Her-Looks.
When I think of love I think of.... The last call of the day. The last person you talk to before closing your eyes and sleeping, the person you dream about all night, and the first thing you think of when waking up. It is sad to think I am not the last call of the day.
My hair smells amazing right now. It reminds me of Jessie's house, where I was staying for the last four nights. Herbal and clean. It is getting much longer these days. My hair, that is. I am loving it, loving how it is growing, loving that it is no longer short. Having long hair has a whole new meaning. And now that I have stopped highlighting my hair and the highlights have completely grown out and have been cut...I really love the natural color of my hair. I have found that when I let things go, when I let things live naturally like this, I love myself more.
I don't understand boys. Last night scared me a lot, I came home and cried. Boys, don't do that to me again. I would die if something had happened.
I'm wondering right now how I will spend my day. Maybe I'll make some flash cards for spanish. Maybe I will read a book. Quien sabe. If anyone is really bored they can call me.
Pretty soon there will be a SO-SO and the QUARTERBOYS reunion. You guys better get ready for a party. Oh, and Addi, you have to come. No choice.
Why does Salma Hayek have to be so hot?

Holy vaca I am so happy right now. I'm happy for the days that just passed and the good days to come.
Yesterday I went to the doctor and finally got on birth control(seems like it's been too long). Then my mother and I went prom dress shopping and I found this gorgeous pink/sunset-ish color dress marked from 100 down to 25. Unfortunately it was too long because, as we all know, I'm stellarly short. So that was a bummer but I realized that I will find another one even better in the future. I'm sure of it. Later that day I got to hang out with Adam and Carlos. They stopped by after lunch and we went to buy a carton of chocolate peanut butter icecream and rented Kill Bill 2. I just recently saw the first one, so it was fun to see the second so soon. They took off and Meghan came over. She brought me a bag that she bought in Egypt. It is so cool...love it to death. She also gave me her senior picture and then we talked for a few hours. She started saying how she thought about me a lot on her trip...she saw a lot of the religious type historical stuff. So she began talking to me about how short life was and what she believed, asking what I believed. And it was very touching. She started crying when she talked about heaven and hell, saying that she's so excited to be with God. She wanted me to be with him too. All I could do was give her a big hug, and, to sum it all up...gave me a little rejuvenation.
Today Carlos, my mom, and my aunt went with me to Edgefield for this garden/art show. It was beautiful outside and at one point Carlos and I sat under a tree on a picnic bench blowing bubbles and taking pictures of each other. With the sun on his eyes I felt like I had the most beautiful boyfriend alive. So we came home and got icecream at Dairy Queen, reminding me of school starting up soon. We watched Me, Myself, and Irene tonight and walked his doggie. We stopped by Jessie's house so I could discuss with her whether or not we'd be going to the beach on Saturday. Looks like we're gonna go see Mike and David from Eugene at seaside bright and early Saturday morning!!! I came home and got to see the pictures on my dad's digital camera from his backpacking trip. I realized that it has been over a year since the last time I saw the Eugene boys. What good times we had online, and what a great beach trip that was. I know things aren't the same anymore, but it's still fun to catch up with things lost.
Now I'm just glowing. My parents leave tomorrow for Sun River, leaving me at the hands of the Killops. Oh my, I don't think they know what they're getting themselves into. I am spending the night at Carlos's house tomorrow after a night of partying with the Jesster, followed by a beach trip saturday with some boys she's never truly met, and all day sunday with miss Ellen. I couldn't be happier. Mom and Dad, go out of town more often please!

Things have been interesting lately. I'm finally getting over whatever sickness I've been having. Summer is going by too quickly(as usual) and I'm feeling kinda antsy. I wanna do so many things but I guess I have to wait. Looks like I'll be twiddling my thumbs for the next year...
Started reading The Secret Life of Bees. Supposed to be good. Funny how I'm starting to get into reading this summer. I've always liked it but recently I've been cruising through books.
